CORONAVIRUS — THE SHOOT MUST GO ON!

We have our own set of procedures detailing how we operate under Covid and we think it's a reassuring read for clients.  Drop us a note and we'll be happy to share and answer any questions.

UPDATE 5th November 2020... just received from AOP...

As you'll be aware, a second 'lockdown' is upon us, so we thought we'd get in touch about what it means for you from a work perspective.

The latest set of regulations have been published, laid before Parliament yesterday and voted through today, 516 for, 38 against, and so we now have the snappily titled The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) (No.4) Regulations 2020 in force.

As expected, there is a continued exception ‘for the purposes of work’ (Part 2, para 6, s.4 (a) if you need to quote it!) which in simple terms means if you cannot work from home, you are allowed to be out working.

Any reference to restrictions on “gatherings” is to do with social interaction, not work, as there is a further exception that allows work gatherings to occur (Part 3, para 11, s.3 (a) if you need to know).

There are various other exceptions as well including Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day, which coupled with other exceptions tells you this isn’t really a ‘lockdown’ in the sense that we knew it back in March, but a much lighter version.

There is no requirement for premises to close if they are used for making “ a film, television programme, audio programme or audio-visual advertisement.”. That gives the green light to hire studios to remain open, obviously subject to appropriate health and safety procedures.

All that being said, It should go without saying that people should of course continue to adhere to best practice safety protocols and not act in a way that might compromise anyone’s safety. That is paramount.
